“This is my favorite place to get tattooed. The space is sparse but focused, allowing me to quiet my mind and relax. Theodore strives his utmost to accommodate my comfort and wellbeing. I know he will create an ambience that feels both safe and sacred; from heated blankets, to lavender essential oils, to Peruvian field recordings. I am currently getting a bodysuit, so we have spent much time together over the last two years. He has always met me with patience and generosity. His art is inspired by the path of plant medicine. My body is boldened by these living designs. It glows under talismanic mappings amidst heavy black work. Happy knowing I get to wear these adornments for the rest of my life. It is armor con amor”
““My experience getting tattooed by Theo was ideal. When I first reached out to him he was warm and receptive and took some time to get to know me. He presented multiple options for the final design. "I was fortunate enough to be tattooed in Theo's private studio tucked away in the mountains of Colorado shortly before he would be relocating. This experience exceeded all previous tattooing I have received and will certainly make it difficult to imagine ever being tattooed by anyone else, any where else.
Before I even paid any type of deposit, he graciously spent 2 hours on a video call with me which allowed us to get to know one another a bit before committing to anything. It was very obvious during that conversation that Theo is an authentic individual, driven by the highest morality of someone in service to truth and love.
Theo approaches this work with the reverance, respect, and responsibility that it requires. When preparing for a piece he takes the whole being, physical and energetic body, into consideration.
Though he is extremely skilled at his craft, he shows up with a level of humility, integrity, and compassion that is often lacking in the world of "tough guy" blackout tattooing.
As someone who has been tattooed by many different types of artists from many different schools and generations of tattooing, I have grown to understand that a tattoo is not just a tattoo. It is a ritual of initiation, an exchange of energy, a transformation of mind and body. Theo went above and beyond; not only did he tattoo, but he created and held a sacred, safe, and powerful space.
After spending almost 4 days at his home studio breaking bread together, tattooing, and hiking together, I can confidently say that not only is Theo a wonderful tattoo artist, but a stellar human being and someone I now call a friend."
